How to find anyone anywhere, great auto rental deals too
Driving in Style
62% of all new-vehicle buyers are turning to the Internet for automotive information while shopping for their vehicle.

MAPQUEST
www.mapquest.com

MapQuest is the ultimate site for anyone going, well, anywhere. One feature of the site is the driving directions. Enter your starting point and destination and MapQuest provides detailed directions with exact distances plus a map. You can even get traffic reports and an aerial view of your destination to make your trip smoother. Going on a road trip? In addition to a detailed driving map, MapQuest provides a destination guide and a list of hotels en route. The site also provides yellow pages appropriate for your zip code and maps for every country from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe with a handy zoom feature that lets you get more and more detailed information.

AUTO EUROPE
www.autoeurope.com

Auto Europe connects you with deals for auto rentals and discounted airfare worldwide. They also offer a wide range of specialty vehicles, including SUVs, sports cars, and convertibles, as well as complete transfer and chauffeur services. Auto Europe is super easy to use; it took less than five minutes to rent a limo in Amsterdam. This quick-loading, easy to navigate site also offers travel guides (courtesy of Lonely Planet), maps (courtesy of MapQuest), cell phone rental, reservations in Spanish, and an e-newsletter featuring travel deals.

CARBUY.COM
www.carbuy.com

CarBuy.com matches new car buyers to dealers who can sell the desired car, truck, or SUV at a prenegotiated price. Coverage is spotty; we entered in a New York City zip code and were told that there are no CarBuy.com affiliated dealerships in that area. However, we were successful when we entered our own rural zip. We were asked to enter the make and model we're interested in plus our contact information. Within two hours, we received an e-mail from a not-too-local dealership urging us to come in for a test drive--but no price quote.
